Every year on the first weekend of May, the small rural town of Mariposa hosts a celebration of butterflies. The Mariposa Butterfly Festival is a family event that seeks to educate as well as honor the life of our namesake, the butterfly.

First 5 Mariposa County, also known as the Children and Families Commission, Mariposa County, was created in 1999. The actions of the Commission are guided by the needs of Mariposa children and families.

The trained volunteers of the UC Master Gardener Program extend the services of your local Cooperative Extension advisors by providing practical and accurate horticultural information to home gardeners.

We are a non-profit organization of volunteers that raises money to help aid the Mariposa County Library.

This is the old Masonic Hall built around 1917 located on 6th. Street. It was the early home (on buildings first floor) of the Mariposa Museum and History Center (MMHC) at its inception. Museum later moved to it present location in 1971.
