Downtown Mariposa had a devastating blow to our community over the weekend. The Fifth Street Fire took eight businesses and has left over 40 employees without jobs. These employees have been displaced and it may be several weeks before unemployment kicks in and in some cases unemployment may not be enough to cover basic expenses.
