Yosemite Valley
We're not called the Home of Yosemite for nothing! Yosemite National Park resides in our county and provides year-round enjoyment for county residents and visitors.
Yosemite Valley is the hub of Yosemite National Park. Here, visitors can enjoy tours, views of seasonal waterfalls, fields of wildflowers, the famous Little Chapel, big trees, views, wildlife and a true great outdoors experience.

Hiking Trails

Ice Skating
During the Winter months you and your family can enjoy ice skating in the heart of the Valley. This outdoor rink provides a perfect family sport. Get too cold on the rink? Sit by a warm fire near the ice rink and enjoy S'mores and hot cocoa. Skate rentals available onsite.
Skiing
Badger Pass is a fantastic spot for ski enthusiast! Call 209.372.8430 for ski lift information.
Take a Bus Tour
DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite offers bus tours year-round. Tours operate in Yosemite Valley all year, and to Glacier Point, Wawona & Mariposa Grove, and Tuolumne Meadows in summer.
Rafting
Rafting tours are offered along the Merced River. Our county is truly an all-season location with fun for everyone!
Bicycling
Over 12 miles of paved bike paths are available in Yosemite Valley. In addition, bicyclists can ride on regular roads (if they obey traffic laws). Helmets are required by law for children under 18 years of age.
Off-trail riding, mountain biking, and use of motorized bicycles or scooters on bike paths are not permitted in Yosemite National Park.

Horseback Riding
Guided mule rides and both pack and saddle trips are available through DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite from spring through fall.
Sightseeing and Photography
Yosemite Valley is chock full of highly sought photographic opportunities. The views are breathtaking and should not be missed.
